New Beginnings

On Monday, my new batch of chicks arrived! Of course, Monday was really not the ideal in terms of baby bird weather. It was windy and raining, but at least it was not cold.

I had forgotten how much I love to get a new box of chicks. How exciting it was to open it for the first time! This new batch is exceptionally beautiful! They were chirping and standing around just waiting to be let out into the big, wide world!

Sunsets

One of my favorite things about where I live is the beautiful sunsets. Almost every night the sky is fantastic. Springtime really seems to bring some especially beautiful skies in the west.

While a sunset ends a day, it also brings a promise of the sunrise in the morning. The possibility of each new day is really amazing if you stop to ponder it. What will you do with your new day? How will you spend it? And what will you think of and be proud of, or grateful for when the next sunset paints that western horizon?
